Tim Kroeger is a luxury wellness travel specialist, endurance athlete, and founder of Universal Travellerx and tim-kroeger.com. He is the creator of The Restorative Index, a 100-point framework for evaluating whether a luxury wellness hotel actually restores you, not just impresses you, and the inventor of Luxury Bikepacking, a concept that combines long-distance endurance cycling with luxury hotels, fine dining, and premium recovery.
Tim is the official Founding Ambassador of Healthi Life Longevity House, a longevity clinic in Bangkok, where he documents a long-term longevity journey backed by real clinical data, bloodwork panels, biomarkers, HRV trends, body composition, and recovery metrics across international race cycles.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Tourism Management from NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), with study campuses in Bali and Bangkok, two of the world's most important wellness travel destinations, and completed his internship in Costa Rica with CRS Tours, an incoming tour operator specialising in tailored travel experiences. His coursework covered Destination Marketing, Tourism Industry Operations, Product Development, Strategic Management, and Business Economics.
From 2014 to 2020, Tim worked for Lufthansa German Airlines as a Flight Attendant, completing the Lufthansa Aviation Training service programme, sharpening his eye for premium hospitality standards, individualised guest care, and what genuine service excellence actually feels like from the inside.
Crossing time zones weekly across 112+ countries, he came to understand what constant travel does to your body, and how few hotels are truly built around recovery. That experience became the foundation of his work.
Today, Tim reviews luxury wellness hotels, spas, and thermal retreats with 5,000+ hotel nights of experience, 230+ personally tested nights, and 15+ years of global travel behind every evaluation. Every hotel review is informed by The Restorative Index, scoring Sleep Architecture, Environmental Calm, Nutritional Impact, Bioregulation & Spa, Movement, and Frictionless Operations.
His standard is simple: does a stay leave you better than you arrived?
His expertise has been recognised by international media, including Asian Spectator, The Times (Australia), Stuff (New Zealand), aeroTELEGRAPH, 20 Minuten (Switzerland), German regional press, a documentary feature on ZDF's Auslandsjournal, a live TV interview with Ticker TV, and German radio.
